Feet. They’re used for transport, as a foundation, as expression. An intricate network of tiny bones supports hundreds of pounds for a lifetime.

I have a long-standing interest in feet, and particularly in musicians’ feet. Musicians embody expression and inspire others to do the same. I think what they choose to put on or take off their feet when creating music and how they move their feet when they play is as fascinating as their hands and mouths.

I also really like shoes, but there’s freedom in bare feet.
