Jordan and Kevin hired me to be their wedding photographer well over a year before their wedding. In that year’s span, they had a baby boy (they already have a little girl), moved to the Kootenays, and Kevin took a job that would have him away from home for long periods of time. Oh, and they also planned a wedding with guests from across the country (her family is from Newfoundland). Suffice it to say they had a lot on their plate! And then, relentless rain started in the days before their wedding, requiring revisions of nearly all their plans for their celebration at Sunshine Bay Park in Proctor.
I understand that rain on your wedding day is something a lot of couples might fear. I always make sure I strategize with my couples about rain, and give them some confidence that regardless of the weather, their photos are going to be beautiful. With the right perspective, rainy day weddings can be even more incredible than you’d imagine. Jordan and Kevin shirked dirty hems and damp hair, rocked their portraits, and then delved right into a pretty fantastic party. Nice work, you two!!
