Kerensa and Sam are adventure lovers. They spend their days mountain biking in the summer, and skiing in the winter. It only made sense to choose to have their Fernie wedding at Island Lake Lodge. Together with their daughter Olivia, they hosted all their closest family and friends for an intimate and immensely fun Fernie wedding.
The lodge is actually three log cabins nestled in the Purcell mountains of eastern BC. Its cat skiing is legendary, and Fernie is renown for its mountain biking network of trails that cover thousands of acres. But even if your guests aren’t the adrenaline-junky types, simply looking out the window, kayaking on the lake or walking around the tenure is wondrous.
Fernie Wedding Photographer
Although I live in Nelson BC, Fernie is a quick drive over the Selkirk mountains. I’ve spent a lot of time snowboarding and biking in Fernie so I knew of lots of locations for Fernie wedding photography, but with their wedding at the lodge, there wasn’t need to go any further than a few hundred meters down the access road!
If you’re considering a Fernie wedding or anywhere in British Columbia, contact me here. I look forward to hearing about you!
