I absolutely love photographing kids, but I think my favourite age is the almost-teen. The awkward adolescent. The not-so-little one.
You can see their bone structure morphing, the round cheeks on the edge of angular. They’re a little more self-conscious, and more self aware. Almost bursting with teen angst, but still smiling at mom and dad.
